SAMPLE PREVIEW · STUDY STRUGGLES RESET

THEY SIT DOWN TO STUDY. BUT WHAT DO THEY ACTUALLY DO NEXT?

A teenager can have their notes open, their highlighters ready and every intention of preparing—yet still struggle to turn that time into useful study.

They might reread the same pages, copy out information or spend so long deciding where to begin that little gets done.

Study Struggles Reset helps students approach studying with clearer steps, practical tools and a more manageable starting point.

Watch the short preview to see the teaching approach in action.

Inside this preview

Francesca introduces Study Struggles Reset and demonstrates the Study Guide worksheet.

You’ll see how a visual layout gives students a place to organise information, making the broad instruction “study this topic” feel more specific.

This is one selected example from the wider course.

Could this suit a family you know?

You might recognise a teenager who:

  • Opens their notes but doesn’t know where to begin.

  • Rereads or highlights information without a clear study plan.

  • Struggles to organise a topic into manageable sections.

  • Spends more time preparing to study than actually studying.

  • Feels overwhelmed by how much there is to remember.

  • Relies on a parent to keep prompting the next step.

WELCOME!

Hi, I’m Francesca, founder of The Classic High School Teacher.

During my time teaching high school, I saw students being told to “go home and study” without necessarily understanding what that meant in practice.

Some put in hours of effort but struggled to organise the information. Others felt overwhelmed before they had even begun.

I created Study Struggles Reset to make the process more concrete, with practical guidance and visual tools, with neurodivergent learners in mind.

This preview gives you a look at how I teach, so you can decide whether the resource could suit a family you support.

What does Study Struggles Reset help with?

Making the first step clearer
Helping students move from a broad task to something more manageable.

Organising what they need to learn
Giving information a clearer structure through practical study tools.

Understanding memory and studying
Exploring how they approach learning and remembering information.

Building a study routine
Introducing ways to prepare for a study session and give it a clearer purpose.

Managing focus
Helping students consider what supports their attention while they work.

The course combines teaching lessons with practical worksheets, giving students tools they can return to alongside their own school subjects.

When would you recommend it?

Study Struggles Reset may suit a teenager who needs explicit guidance in how to study, particularly when organising information and getting started feel difficult.

Students bring their own subject content. The resource helps them approach the process of studying that material.

If the main difficulty is understanding a text’s implied meaning, Read and Respond may be a closer fit. If writing an essay is the immediate barrier, Fast Draft or The Essay Clinic may be more relevant.
